Total chlorine very low, free chlorine very high. How to fix?
I have a cheap intex 20X12 pool. I use the standard pump that came with it and 3" chlorine sanitizing tablets in a floater. From what I read, the total chlorine should always be higher than the free chlorine. I have the opposite. I use Aquachem strips to test. The Liquid tests say I am at a good chlorine level. Should I be concerned or not. I don’t quite understand what levels I am suposed to have. Any info will help.

It sounds like if your free chlorine is high, then you have good disinfecting capability in your pool.
